  1. What do you like to do in the Lakes Basin????
fish – climb – swim – hike bike?
What is your favorite hike? What is your favorite view?

    • Sarah from Sac says:

In reply to Megan’s questions, my husband and I mostly hike in the Lakes Basin; we have a USFS cabin there. We have been everywhere in the basin, and don’t want to give away our favorite hikes, because they are special and not heavily used.
Best views – hands down the ridgeline hike along Mammoth Crest (accessed from the trailhead by Lake George). On a clear day …. wow.
We’re very excited to see the bike/hike trail from Twin Lakes up to Horseshoe finished. Great idea and thanks for spending the $$ on it.

  2. Sally Gessford says:

I love to bike the new bikeway to the Lakes Basin. For the sake of safety I would like to see painted on the path: KEEP RIGHT
I’ve encountered several bikers speeding down from the bike park, dressed in protective covering, and riding on both sides of the path. Dangerous.
    Thanks,
    Sally
